Lauren finally took her first steps last night since having both of her casts were removed. And today is the one month anniversary of the freak accident. (Click on the link if you don't know the story)
I am overjoyed that my little girl is walking....Thank You Lord! It's like she is learning how to walk all over again.....the whole irony to this is that Lauren was our earliest walker out of all 4 lovies....she walked at 9 mos!
I was really concerned initially after she got her casts off, and it was a little scary for me...for both of us. She wasn't recovering as the doctor had predicted, and I'll be honest, I struggled with that and am trying to realize that she is going at her own pace, (trusting God can be really be hard sometimes),....but I will say that God truly did provide peace in my heart, especially during the times I was seriously worried about her recovery. She still has a ways to go.....but I will hold on to the hope that someday in the not-so-distant future, I will be able to watch my daughter running through the yard.
Please enjoy these photos I took of my determined 2 yr. old.....and please continue to pray that she will improve as the days progress.....and that I will trust in God to provide for all of her needs.
Blessings to you and little Lauren.
ReplyDeleteSo Wonderful! Praying that she is running soon. Love you all, and missing you a lot this season.
ReplyDeleteMiss you too Cindy....hope you are all doing well. I bet your baby bump is growing....I am so excited for you, but really disappointed that I won't get to snuggle your newborn :( Sending love your way sister...peace and blessings to you and your sweet family.
ReplyDeleteI love how Lauren's expression changes from being uncertain to happy and proud of her accomplishment. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and I thought of you, Lisa, when I purchased a lovely wool sweater from the Salvation Army store on Saturday night. It's not a granny sweater though, so the effect was not complete. I'll try to send you a pic so you can rejoice with me. ;)
Can't wait to see the photo of the sweater!! I am getting nervous, as we have yet to find my granny sweaters...if the cool weather arrives and I haven't located them, then off to the goodwill to replenish my wardrobe....miss you so much sister.
ReplyDeleteShe's in our daily prayers! Call me or email me sometime, soon! As I've ... misplaced yours :( Miss you much! Come home to PA soon and TELL ME this time ;)
ReplyDeleteHey Nicole..I am so glad you commented...I have tried calling you. I'm not sure if I have the right number...no one picks up, not even a machine, (I thought I was using the new one you gave me) Email me, and we will exchange #'s again :) And sorry I did not get in touch while in PA before we moved. I will post my email on my main page very soon...I am in the process of getting one under my blog name....miss you!
