And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

On The Horizon....

Lots of changes are on the horizon for our family.....

We will be moving to the Midwest in just a few short months! Jared accepted a faculty position at IUB. This has been a tremendous blessing, especially in the midst of hard economic times.

We are so thankful for God's continual provision, especially through the many moments of uncertainty in his career. I am beyond grateful for my husband....through it all, by God's grace, he has worked very hard over the years, all the while keeping his priorities straight.

We are planning a trip back to PA this week and are overjoyed to see our family. The kids are so excited....it's all they can talk about lately. (Well, except for Luke of course....but he knows something is going on.)

After a couple of days in PA we will head to Indiana in hopes of finding a house. We have only 2 days to find "the one" and make an offer.....no pressure or anything! It would be a beautiful blessing to our family if you would keep us in your prayers through this transition....thank you.

Packing has officially begun and I have to say...."so far, so good." I know there will come a time in the near future where life is going to get crazy so I am just trying to brace myself.

Although we are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives....the saying good bye to so many we love here is going to be gut wrenching...I'm still not ready to talk about that yet, but I know the moment will come when we will give our farewell embraces.

New England has been our home for the past 5 1/2 years....so many memories. Noah was only 2 when we moved here, and Nate was just 3 mos. old! And of course Lauren and Luke were born here.

Through all of the changes that are about to take place, we are clinging to God for wisdom and guidance. Starting our lives in a new area is exciting and scary all at the same time.  I am using my blog to keep all of you updated through our move....and then getting settled in our new home.

Peace and blessings to you all.

On the Horizon.......

Lots on the horizon for this family.....

We recently were blessed in finding out that my hub has been offered a position at a university in the mid-west, a true answer to prayer, especially in the midst of this difficult economic time.......
This means our life is about to start a new chapter.....

So many emotions have been moving through me....excitement, nervousness, saddness, joy, overall a little overwhelmed.......
Overwhelmed at the thought that we are moving...starting all over again. Leaving our friends that we have grown to know and love, moving to a place not knowing a soul....

Realizing  that we are not moving back to where we started...still being miles away from family....closer though which I am deeply thankful for.....
My heart truly is excited for this wonderful opportunity, and I am so proud of my wonderful hard working husband.....

It's the saying good-bye and starting all over again that has me a bit sad and nervous as well....

But I have to say..through all of these emotions and changes that are going to take place, I know one thing that will never change....
And that is the love from my God, my Redeemer, my Savior.....

This is a journey, and I feel unbelievably blessed, and I will cling to His goodness through all of my emotions.....because they will change from day to day.....moment to moment....
But my God is a faithful God and I trust in Him....thankful for His Spirit that I am able to trust....

Praying, praying, praying for wisdom and guidance through this transition....
And I can't help but feel excited to see what God has in store for us....a new town, a new job, a new church, new friends.....

A change is on the horizon.....and although not a fan of change myself,  I am looking forward to continuing on this journey with my husband and children.

On The Horizon.....

We all have things coming up in our lives
no matter what the season of life we are presently living in.
Some things that are on "the horizon" may be prominent,
and others may be little decisions concerning daily life.

Just thought I would share our family
and what we have on "the horizon."

Getting ready for winter!
Which means; making sure the snow blower is working
finding all of the snow clothes for the kids, getting the sleds out of the barn, keeping a good wood stash for the beloved wood burner that helps keep us cozy.

Christmas!
Well, decorations are hung and our tree is up...so pretty. There are several missing bulbs...I'm not naming any names though...{coughLauren}
We celebrate our Christmas here on the 11th....the kids are excited to celebrate Jesus's birthday.

Travel!
We will heading back to PA and will be spending 2 wks!!
Of course we all love love love spending time with family over this special holiday. Noah and Nate have been "counting down" the days for quite a while.

The Hub!
Thankfully Jared has some potential job opportunities in the near future. His funding has been extended where he is at right now. Also, a possible "permanent" position at a college in the mid-west ....great interview....so we will see what comes of this.

The Kids!
Noah has some upcoming projects for school on his horizon. He is looking forward to making a book for our study on the Ocean and God' s amazing creatures in it.
Nathan is on the horizon of reading independently. I am presently looking into setting up special services for this little guy in the area of speech and language development.
Lauren is on the horizon of being potty trained....Yippee!
And Luke is on the horizon of growing too fast. He is almost able to sit up on his own.....sniff.

And Me....
I am doing some homeschool planning for the upcoming months...trying to be organized. And...keeping up with the housework, laundry, etc.. By God's grace trying to be a good wife and mama. Oh and soon-to-be starting up a weight loss something or other .....blah. But it's time....sigh.

In the midst of all of our things "on the horizon", I hope as a family that we stay God centered and seek His guidance daily. As often as we fail at this...it is by His grace that we live to glorify Him and enjoy Him forever.
